World Hobby Festival!

Alright cookies! (its alright, I dunno what that means either!)
I just got the pictures I took from last Sunday's World Hobby Festival(WHF) uploaded.
Anyway, WHF is a hobby festival here in Japan. And usually they have indepenent scluptors who display and sell their works there (these scluptures are commonly known as 'garage kits'). I've always liked figures and such myself. So it was a real treat when Takahashi-san and Yamazaki-san took me out to this event.

But due to some 90,000 worth of counterfeit money being discovered, theentire line-up to the event was delayed for about an hour plus.

As soon as the poloce settled things and we were allowed in, I started going thru the vendors. This wasn't the biggest event mind you. But there were alot to see. And by the time I got around to browsing, most of the garage kits that i would have wanted were already sold out. Which is a good thing, because I prolly wouldn't have the time to assemble and paint them anyway.
righty then, on with the pictures!

Here is a shot of a kit that I was dying to get my hands on!
Looks bloddy wicked!

close-up.

Sclupting house 'Tandem Twin' showed up and displayed their work.

One of the best Sabers I saw at the show.

Iroha from Samurai Spirits. The floral designs that accentuate the kit was very thoughful.

Original charactersfrom 'Vispo'. Lovely...

Vanessa from KOF

Another Original character.

these next 4 seem to be a series from a popular manga.
But the title eludes me at the moment.

Ifurita from El Hazard!

Last but not least, Ohno, from Genshiken, cosplaying as Tifa Lockheart from FFVII!

So thats a quick round up of what was at the Exhibition.
After that, Yamazaki-san brought me to an American comic-book store! And they sell english comics! So I grabed a copy of Alan Moore's now seminal "V for Vendatta".

The rest of the day was spent reading and just chilling out. ^_^
Golden week has kicked in and I'll talk more about that later tonight, now I gotta boot.

And just cos Mr. Moore has me feeling poetic, I'll sign off my saying good night...

Good night, Good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, I shall say good night till it be morrow!
