Arrrgh! red tape!

All I want is to get back and attend a wedding for 3 days, and I get stuck with the most insane amount of adminstration. And if there's anything I can't stand, its the hassle of administration...

On to the good news! Again, Capcom never fails to treat me well! (*^_^*)
I got handed 2 more big assignments today. I was initially supposed to design a variation to one of the 'Vital Suits' in the game. But after working on it for a day, I decided that instead of just altering certain parts of the current models and calling it a 'new' model, we should go ahead and design a whole new line-up and broaden the selection of Vital Suits that are in the game. So I brought up the issue with my art director. After a few rounds, we decided to go with it. So effectively, I was tasked to design another, whole new, set of 'Vital Suits' for the game. Trust me, If you play the game, you're gonna find it hard to miss them.
Its awesome to know that so much of what I worked on is so apparently visible in the game. Started out with breakables, then I moved on to weapons, then came the game's final boss, and now, this. All in the space of a year. In many ways I'm very satisfied with my progress so far. Really make me feel that I have made good use of my time here.
I'm actually very looking forward to putting my new portfolio together. Makes me wonder what it will look like after this experience.

Gonna take it slow this weekend and let my batteries re-charge so I can get some fresh ideas kickin' when I head back to the office to do the final rounds of design work. Getting really pumped.
life, is good... ^^

Met Takano-san from the DMC4 team on my way to dinner today. And I invited him to join me and my colleagues. Luckily, he did. Cos he had initially wanted to go the the convient store to pick up dinner, but, he forgot to bring his wallet! So I covered for him this time round.

Spring approaches, although it feels a little cold this year. The sakuras have all but gone for this year. and its like a reflection of my time here in Osaka. Soon, it will end. Its a matter of how beautifully I can bloom before I wither...
Dreamwards!
